Sweaters

I have too much money invested in sweaters.

We have seen many cool vintage sweaters come through our men's shop over the years. For many they are the ideal fashion staple...warm, cozy, colorful, creative, stylish, unique. From the beloved hand-crafted Irish knit sweaters to the cult classic Big Lebowski sweater, to the annual ugly Christmas sweater, they have found their rightful place in men's fashion.

For me? not so much.....I am always drawn to sweaters, but I never like how they look on me. This always reminds me of my mom. She loved the idea of hats...she would even on occasion buy a hat or two, but then would never wear them. She, like me, just didn't like how she looked in them. So, sweaters for me are my mother's hats.

Below is a mixed array of sweaters from previous decades - all a little special in one way or another. Some have sold ages ago and some are still available in the shop.

this 1960's turtleneck was worn by poets everywhere. This one was made in England of the finest wool.
